OUR LOCATION

Where to Find Us at 80 Fifth Avenue

Village TMS is in Suite 1405 at 80 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10011, at West 14th Street. We are a few minutes' walk from Union Square, on the edge of the Flatiron District, Greenwich Village and the West Village, with Chelsea a few blocks west.

Because we sit in the middle of Manhattan's transit network, most patients come by subway or train rather than by car. Subway lines from Brooklyn and Queens stop at Union Square, PATH trains from New Jersey stop one avenue away, and commuter trains from Long Island and Westchester arrive at Penn Station or Grand Central, a short subway ride from us.

If you need help planning the trip, call us at (646) 817-2835. For TMS, you can come and go on your own. For Spravato treatment, plan your ride home in advance, because you cannot drive until the next day.

PLANNING YOUR COURSE

Fitting Treatment Around Your Commute

STEP 1

Free Consultation

Call (646) 817-2835 or use our contact form. We review your history, answer your questions and verify your insurance at no cost.

STEP 2

Pick a Regular Slot

A standard TMS therapy course is usually 30–36 sessions over 6–9 weeks, and your psychiatrist sets the schedule. A fixed time near your commute makes it easier to keep.

STEP 3

Use Early and Late Hours

We are open Monday–Friday 8am–9pm, Saturday 8am–5pm and Sunday 9am–3pm. Sessions take about 20–30 minutes, so many patients come before or after work.

STEP 4

Plan Spravato Days

Spravato visits take at least 2 hours, including monitoring, and you cannot drive until the next day after a restful sleep. Arrange your ride home in advance.

Common Questions About
Getting to Village TMS

Practical answers before your first visit.

Can I do TMS if I live in New Jersey?

Yes. We treat patients from Hoboken, Jersey City and other New Jersey towns. PATH trains stop at 14th Street and 6th Avenue, one avenue from us, and NJ Transit trains run to Penn Station. If your insurance is through a New Jersey plan, we check during your free insurance verification whether it covers treatment in New York. Learn more about TMS therapy for depression.

Is there parking near Village TMS?

There are several public parking garages near the clinic. Rates and hours vary, so call us at (646) 817-2835 and we will suggest options. Street parking around Union Square is limited, and most patients find the subway or PATH easier.

What is the closest subway station?

14 St–Union Square, served by the 4, 5, 6, L, N, Q, R and W trains. It is a few minutes’ walk west along 14th Street to Fifth Avenue. The F and M stop at 14th Street and 6th Avenue, one avenue west of us.

How long will each visit take?

A TMS session takes about 20–30 minutes, plus a few minutes to check in. Your first treatment visit takes longer because we map the right coil position and strength for you. Spravato visits take at least 2 hours because of the required monitoring after each dose.

Can I drive myself home after treatment?

After TMS, yes: there is no anesthesia or sedation. After Spravato, you cannot drive until the next day after a restful sleep, a rule set by the Spravato REMS program. You also cannot drive on the day of IV or IM ketamine. Arrange a ride with a friend, family member or car service on those days.

How do I fit a 30–36 session course around work?

We are open Monday–Friday 8am–9pm, Saturday 8am–5pm and Sunday 9am–3pm. Many patients book a fixed slot before work, at lunch or on the way home. Your psychiatrist sets the exact schedule, and we help you find times that fit your commute.

What if my train is delayed or I miss a session?

Call us as soon as you can. We will try to move you to a later slot that day or add a session at the end of your course. Your psychiatrist decides how to handle missed sessions so your treatment stays on track.
